Unity Benefit and Poker Run Fundraiser for injured Stuttgart, AR PD Sergeant

Community members of the city of Stuttgart, Arkansas are holding a fundraiser for Stuttgart PD Sergeant Seneca Thornton who is recovering after being injured on-duty.

Sergeant Thornton was hit by a driver while on a traffic stop.

Local motorcycle riders are sponsoring the Unity Benefit and Poker Run Fundraiser for Sergeant Thornton on Saturday, November 5. The event will be held at Stuttgart's John Cain Park, located between Sixth and Seventh streets off Park Avenue from 12 - 4 p.m. Free food will be available at the event for those who make a donation.

The Poker Run will begin at 8 a.m. starting at 215 E. Michigan Avenue.

An account has been set up to take donations for not only Thornton's medical bills, but to help his family during his time of recovery. An account has been opened at Arkansas County Bank for anyone wanting to donate. Anyone wishing to help can go to Arkansas County Bank, located at 620 E. 22nd St. in Stuttgart to donate.
